Principal’s Message

Hello Dolphin Families,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the proud Principal of 20th Street Elementary & DUAL Language School! This is my 21st year as an educator and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve this amazing community! I am proud to be a part of the dedicated Dolphin staff. Our teaching staff consists of highly qualified educators who collaborate to ensure rigorous academic and social growth of every child to prepare them to be college and career ready.   Our classified staff is equally dedicated to your child’s success, and we are so excited to have so many caring adults on our campus. We remain committed to ensuring that our scholars and families feel welcome and supported, and we will keep you updated with frequent communication every step of the way via Class Dojo.

20th Street Elementary & DUAL Language School is located in downtown Los Angeles, and serves approximately 546 students grades UTK-5th. We are part of The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools network. We offer a DUAL Language program in Spanish for grades UTK-5th.  We are also a full inclusion school in grades UTK-5th.  Our goal is to prepare our scholars to be kind, inclusive, global citizens ready for this ever changing world! 

I invite you to help us build a strong partnership for your child’s benefit. There are many ways for parents/guardians to be active members of the school such as: Joining our School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Council (ELAC), Local School Leadership Council (LSLC), Inclusion Steering Committee (ISC), Attending Family School Events, Attending Parent-Teacher Conferences, Back to School Night, Open House, Volunteering and providing assistance with projects or school activities. These are just a few ways and suggestions are always welcome!
